Role Overview
As the General Counsel, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters relative to the PELANOR platform, providing strategic legal guidance to its management team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations, contracts, policies, and procedures align with applicable laws and regulations across multiple regions and states. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will provide legal advice, mitigate legal and regulatory risks, and ensure the protection of our interests.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy that aligns with the company's goals and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Advise senior management on legal issues, potential risks, and strategic business decisions, providing clear and practical recommendations.
Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including contracts, partnerships, and vendor agreements, ensuring compliance and protecting the company's interests.
Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, monitor industry trends, and provide guidance on emerging legal issues that may impact the business.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with privacy, data protection, intellectual property, and other regulatory requirements.
Manage external legal counsel and coordinate legal matters related to litigation, intellectual property, and other legal disputes.
Develop and deliver legal training programs to enhance legal awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Bar association in relevant jurisdictions* (*NY or CA preferred).
Proven experience as a General Counsel or in a senior legal role, preferably in the technology or digital industry.
Strong knowledge of commercial law, contracts, intellectual property, privacy, and data protection regulations.
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
Strong business acumen and the ability to balance legal risks with commercial objectives.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
